Without a doubt, Phantom of the Opera-2004. Sigh!
I love all the Jane Austen book/movie adaptations, but I also really like North and South by Elizabeth Gaskell. I really love that movie and book. Thank you for giving away a free copy of your book, Rhianna, too. I am sure it is wonderful. I haven’t read it yet but have it on my wish list.
Of course my favorite is “Pride and Passion” – and I re-read that every year!!! But a very close second would probably be “Jane Eyre”. When I saw the movie, it was very much like I had viewed it in my mind from the book. Jane was an amazing character. Mr. Rochester wasn’t as terrifying to m in the movie as he was in the book. I would really like to read your book. I am glad you posted on Facebook so that I am now aware of your writing! Thank you!
Pride and Prejudice – sorry!
Happy Book-a-versary! My favorite historical adaptation is Snow Falling on Cedars.
I really loved Room with a View by E.M. Forster. The novel followed the idea I had in my head so well and the movie with Bonham Carter hit the historical stereo type of the era.
